Quigley Luke, 22nd March 2024, (Walkinstown and formerly of Ardmore Studios, Bray); unexpectedly but peacefully surrounded by his loving family in the wonderful care of the staff of Beaumont Hospital. Beloved husband of Jo, loving dad of Louise, Carol and Grace, adored granddad of Shane, Ciara, Joanne, Adam, Amira, Dayna, Kate, Jack and Harvey, great granddad of Darcey, Luke and Logan and loving brother of Joe, Imelda, Bernie, Kay, John and the late Eddie, Jerry, Rita and Marian.
Luke will be forever loved and sadly missed by his heartbroken family, sons-in-law Mohammed, Neil and Chris, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, extended family, neighbours and his very wide circle of friends especially those who knew Luke in the film industry from all around the world.
Luke was a master craftsman, typical Irish wit and charm, always good company , to be in his company was a joy, a lot of colleagues learnt a lot from him, he was never afraid to help others, many camera crews benefited from his Skills RIP
Luke Quigley.
An Ace Grip and a gentleman. Excalibur to name just one movie Luke worked on. I worked with Luke very early on in my career, and he always treated me with kindness, and the upmost respect. Luke wad in an Irish showband. But that’s another story.
The memories above from his family gives you the measure of the man and how much he will be missed.
RIP Luke.
Luke was a big part of my beginning in the grip world and a great reset button on what the film business was about… Gone but not forgotten x
