Garry “Gaz” Clemo: 11 September 1985 - 24 September 2024

Updated: Oct 21, 2024

“In loving memory of Garry Clemo who sadly passed away on 24th September 2024

Gaz, was born in Truro and raised in Marazion. He was proud to be Cornish and loved nothing more than returning home as often as he could, to be with family and friends. As a young lad he was destined for bigger things! Leaving Cornwall to join the Armed Forces; He served with the Coldstream Guards, which is just one of his proudest achievements, with many a story to tell! After serving his time, Gaz settled in London and went on to have a career in security, working at Canary Wharf. He loved his work and went on to make lifelong friends, that he considered as family. He was content here for 8 or more years, until he got itchy feet, just knowing that there was something more out there for him.

Through the charity, Help For Heroes, he found his calling! This was to be in TV and Production and after three years of training, he stepped up as a Grip. Here he was at his best and loved his work and the challenges that came with it. Without a doubt he would have gone on to be one of the best in the industry.

Gaz, could walk into a room and everyone would know it! His personality and presence were as big as his heart. He worked hard and played hard making many friends along the way.

He has been taken from us far too soon, but boy! what a life he lived! He did things his way, when and how he wanted and we all loved him for it.”

Garry was a topman and like by all who knew him. He we’ll be missed by all. It’s hard to believe he is gone . Taken to soon but did more in his time than some in three lifetimes. We salute you.

What a lovely testament, and so sad for someone to be taken so young.
